ABOUT
Dear friends!
We are pleased to present to your attention the First All-Russian open competition of violin makers named after Timofey Podgorny, which is held with the assistance of the Periscope Publishing House LLC.
The art of violin makers has a rich history in our country. The unique system of music education in Russia has given the world hundreds of wonderful musicians performing stringed musical instruments.
And the success of these musicians largely depended on the uniqueness of the musical instruments they played. And often these were instruments created by domestic violin makers. Competitions for violin makers are regularly held all over the world, and our violin makers have repeatedly become winners of these competitions in Italy, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Germany, France and other countries.
A major international competition - the International Competition of violin makers named after P. I. Tchaikovsky was held in Russia from 1986 to 2007.
The first All-Russian open competition of violin makers named after Timofey Podgorny continues the traditions of the International Competition of violin makers named after P. I. Tchaikovsky and creates conditions for professional communication of violin makers through the holding of a competition of violin makers, exhibitions of musical instruments, master classes and seminars.
